By training, Smruti Mehta is a Commercial Artist. She worked as a commercial artist for many years supporting herself at one of the art agencies in Mumbai, India.

     After she married and began the journey of raising her family, she never went back to work as a commercial artist. Instead she followed her primary love for fine arts, which she was interested in as a young girl. She also paints pottery and ceramics and makes ceramic sculptures that are sold locally in India through community exhibits.

     Some of her work is also in private collections. She loves both color abstracts and doodling with pen and ink.
